Jason David Frank
In the role of Tommy Oliver, Jason Frank has morphed into an array of mighty Power Rangers; green, white, red and then, black. In four series of the hit action/adventure TV series "Power Rangers."
Born in California in 1973, he attended Bonita High School in Los Angeles. He began karate at the age of four and, by age 12 was teaching other children. At 18, he owned and operated a karate school, Jason Frank's Toso Kune Do Karate.
In 1995, Frank was included in People magazine's annual 50 Most Beautiful People in the World issue.
Frank was Grand Champion at the 1990 Las Vegas Winter Nationals and was honoured by the World Karate Hall of Fame's Blackbelt Hall of Fame award in 2004 and 1994. A Sixth Degree Black Belt with over 28 years of experience, he now owns and teaches at The Rising Sun Karate Academy in Southern California. He also enjoys sky diving and flying planes.
Chris Patton
Chris Patton has been a voice actor for the past ten years, for ADV Films, Funimation Entertainment, and others. Some of his credits include Yuuichi in Kanon, Sato in Welcome to the NHK, Sousuke Sagara in Full Metal Panic ( including Fumoffu and the Second Raid ), Turles in Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and 3, Ichiro in Nerima Daikon Brothers, Sasame in Pretear, Manabu in Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad, Fakir in Princess Tutu, Ranmaru in The Wallflower, Hajime in Ghost Stories, Haruka in Tactics, Hiroki in The Place Promised in Our Early Days, Ayato in RahXephon, Nishi in Gantz, and many more. Chris is also very active in the Houston Theatre scene, having been seen in over 50 productions, most recently as Saucy Jack De'ath in the electronic camp musical Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens.This is his third appearance at Ikkicon!
Chris Ayres
Christopher Ayres has been working professionally in theatre, television and film since the age of 6. His work has been seen Regionally, Nationally and on Broadway. He currently works as a voice actor for ADV FILMS and FUNimation ENTERTAINMENT, and has recently started working as an A.D. R. Director for ADV FILMS. His first project for the studio is the hit anime musical comedy THE NERIMA DAIKON BROTHERS. In addition to that he is also the director for XENOSAGA: The Animation, and MAGIKANO. Some of the roles as a voice actor Chris is best known for are Kei Kourono in Gantz, Suitengu in Speed Grapher, Von Kampher in Trinity Blood, Hayashimizu in Full Metal Panic? Fummofu, Nakamaru in Maburaho, Yaminami in Peacemaker, DJ Plugman in Air Gear Yusuf Ali Mesa in Yugo the Negotiator, Koji in Godanner, Murato in Hakugei - Legend of the Moby Dick, Sawadust in A Tree of Palme, Dr. Pluto in BASToF Syndrome, Akimoto in Sakura Diaries, Multiple Villains in Gatchaman, Kenji Kurata in Diamond Daydreams, Oshodani in Pappuwa, Jimpachi Arishiama in Nanka 6/17, and Woogy in Michel. His voice can also be heard in Elfin Lied, Gravion Zwie, Utwararerumono, Coyote Ragtime Show and Desert Punk to name a few. Chris is also one of the Anime industry voice actors who sings on Voices for Peace. He is very proud to be a part of the "Voices For..." oganization. Chris also works as a professional fight director and has enjoyed bringing his workshop “Mock Combat for Cosplay” to many conventions. Kyle Hebert
Kyle Hebert is an LA-based voice actor currently heard on Cartoon Network as Sosuke Aizen and Ganju Shiba on "Bleach", as well as Kiba on "Naruto". He is best known as the Narrator and teen Gohan ..onball Z". Other credits include Megaman Star Force (Omega-Xis), "Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society (Munei), "When They Cry" (Tomitake), "Fullmetal Alchemist" (Falman), "Fruits Basket" (Takei), "Eureka 7" (KenGoh), "Yu Yu Hakusho" (Karasu), "Ergo Proxy" (MCQ), and many more. Video game voiceover credits include "Devil May Cry 4", ".hack GU Part 2-3", "Digimon Data Squad", "Desperate Housewives", "Baten Kaitos: Origins", "Dragonball Z", and "Naruto".
Hannah Alcorn
Hannah Alcorn is an actress from Houston, Texas and began acting on stage at the age of 11 and has been working professionally since the age of 18. She and is currently a junior working towards her BA in Theatre with a concentration on acting and musical theatre at the University of Houston.
She has appeared in such stage productions as "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown," "Side Show," and "Side by Side" by Sondheim. She played the role of Princess Alexandra for the Houston Children's Theatre Festival in Jerry Bock's new musical, "The Princess Who Could Not be Heard," and has appeared in "La Cenerentola" and "The Magic Flute" for the Houston Grand Opera.
Hannah has recently ventured into the anime industry as a voice actress, and can be heard in her first two principal roles for ADV Films, the sweet-but-bumbling witch hunter Marin Nijihara in "Magikano," and as the lead female character Sunako in the new Shinichi Watanabe comedy "The Wallflower."
Carli Mosier
Carli has been involved in theater since the age of 6 at HITS theater and the Houston Grand Opera. She graduated from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and then took classes under the great Stuart Ostrow.
Carli began working for ADV films four years ago, and has appeared in such shows as Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok, as Tsubasa Maijima, and Godannar, as Kei. More recently, Carli has been cast in such ADV titles as UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie, where she played Princess Pharm; Best Student Council, as Kenran Vice President; Moeyo Ken TV, as Sayoko Yamazaki, and as Febronia and various voices in Xenosaga: The Animation.
Carli is probably best known for her performance as the sexy Detective Yukika in Nerima Daikon Brothers. Most recently, Anime fans saw Carli as the proper—and quite often chaotic—Student Council President Yuri Kurosu in Magikano, which was released in December 2007.
Jessica Boone
Jessica is a very talented voice actress and has appeared in numerous anime features. Some of her most well known animes and characters are: Nayuki Minase in Kanon and (Girl A) in Air, Akao Hiiragi from Jinki:Extend, Atsuko Akanegi from Diamond Daydreams (or Diamond Dust Drops), Azmaria Hendric from Chrono Crusade, Yuna from Maburaho, Arumi from Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, Ena from Gravion and Gravion Zwei, Mio Hio from DN Angel, Mizuki from Full Metal Panic:Fumoffu, Mitsuki from Puni Puni Poemi, Yoshimi from Nuku Nuku, Kiri from Divergence Eve, Misaki in Angelic Layer, Rue/Krahe from Princess Tutu and of course one of my favortite roles - Chiyo Mihama (Chiyo-chan) from Azumanga Daioh! Jan Scott Fraizer
Jan worked in the animation (anime) industry in Japan for almost 14 years. She attended animation school and later went on to work at a number of studios in including Artland, Production IG and Atelier BWCA on shows including RikiOh 2, Locke the Superman (OVA), Shurato (OVA), Bubblegum Crash (OVA) and Tottoi (feature). She become an expert in many different aspects of animation production, such as cel painting, animating, backgrounds, camera and directing. In 1991 she founded an animation studio - TAO Corp. Ltd. in Bangkok, Thailand. TAO did work on Moldiver, Diary of Mikan, Genocyber and SWAT Kats amongst others. In 1994, Jan moved into consulting work, freelancing for Cambridge Animation Systems, the developers of Animo (a computer assisted (2D) animation production system). Also in 1994, Jan co-founded GENESIS Digital Publishing Company with Izumi Matsumoto (Kimagure Orange Road) where they created the best-selling Comic ON, a CD-ROM manga compendium in which Jan debuted as a manga artist. In 1999 Jan directed episodes of Susie-chan & Marvy (TV) and spent most of the year working on the development of original TV series projects. In 2000, she moved back to the USA to work at Celsys USA on the development of the next generation of the RETAS digital production system.
Jan has traveled extensively throughout Asia and the US teaching animation techniques and speaking at tradeshows and conventions. She has also translated videos and manga, written and co-written magazine articles and created extensive training materials for cel painting, animation and computer animation.
In 2006 she produced the album Voices for Peace as a charity benefit. She currently produces albums for Voices For, a non-profit corporation and is writing her memoirs.
Samantha Inoue Harte
Samantha Inoue Harte is the quintessential Renaissance woman in the Anime Industry: she is an Anime voice actress, an Animation Instructor, and currently President of her own Animation Studio.
She began her career teaching animation at various locations throughout the Austin, Texas area and continues to do so at the Austin Community College and the Austin School of Film. She later started animating at a studio called Little Wolf Entertainment under the tutelag of Director Sam Fleming, then turned to HorsebackSalad Entertainment, and Powerhouse Animation Studios.
At those three studios, Samantha was able to work on projects for Warner Brothers Classics (Jetsons, Speedy Gonzalez, Roadrunner Online), Disney (lilo&Stitch2: Stitch Has a Glitch), and View Askew Productions (Clerks: the Lost Episode from the Clerks 10th Anniversary DVD), Chuck E. Cheese, Mattel Interactive, a smidge of work on the King of the HIll pilot, and too many others to list.
Josh Grelle
A native Texan, Josh was raised on stage and in the art studios of Central Texas. He performed on stage for over 15 years prior to starting work for A.D.V. Films at the start of 2004. Josh is known for playing the outrageous Taishi in Comic Party: Revolution and has recently been cast as Kyohei in the new Shinichi Watanabe (AKA Nabeshin) comedy, The Wallflower as well as Simon in Gainax's Gurren Lagann. He can also be seen as Admiral Voda in Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid, Yukinojo in Moeyo Ken T.V., G-6 and various Villians in Gatchaman, Elegen/Gaster/Derzerb/Enzi in Guyver: The Bio Boosted Armor, Suonkasu in Utawareumono, Kyoushiro in Innocent Venus, Guy in Venus Vs Virus, Viscount Wolkins in Pumpkin Scissors, and Hammer in Xenosaga-The Animation. Josh has also lent his vocal talents to such shows as Wedding Peach, Steam Detectives, Coyote Ragtime Show, Nerima Daikon Brothers, 009-1, Kurau - Phantom Memory, Jail Breakers, Air Gear, Air TV and many more.
Josh has recently started working as a script writer for ADV as well with his first title being the magical harem comedy, Magikano.
